Hello
My name is Max K.
I'm a software engineer at Avast Software where I'm working on backend systems for our antivirus.
My main area of expertise is Python. I spend a lot of my time improving our stack and in-house libraries. I very much enjoy teaching and mentoring new developers. To spread the know-how across our company, I started the Python Guild — a monthly meeting for Python developers of all levels and specialties.
Besides that, I'm learning Scala and looking at functional programming in general.
In the past, I've worked on web applications (using Python, of course) and acquired a bachelor's degree in "Applied Informatics" at the University of Economics, Prague.
If you want to contact me for some reason, you can do it at kovykmax [at] gmail.com
Writing
I wouldn't call this a blog, more like a loose collection of writings. I'm not writing regularly (yet), and when I do, it's either just for myself or as a companion article for my talks.
